Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team as an Apprentice Accounting Technician. The role will include book keeping, VAT Returns, preparation of business account and payroll. You will be given support and experience you need to assist you in progressing through the AAT qualifications.

Training and Qualification

Work As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff. What you'll do at work The apprentice will receive a combination of on the job, workplace learning and regular college attendance once a week during term times. You will be working towards level 2 qualification as an Accounting Technician with the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT). AAT is a professional qualification which can help you to achieve a rewarding career in accountancy. Studying for the AAT apprenticeship qualifications includes learning the fundamentals of bookkeeping and accounting standards, as well as personal and business tax. We will not only offer you support and mentoring throughout your training, but we will also fund the training, pay you your normal salary on the days you attend classes or time in the office to study and give you paid study leave to have extra revision time Where you'll work The Grove Rax Lane Bridport DT6 3JL

Essential qualifications GCSE in: English (grade 4) Maths (grade 4) Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have. They can adjust the apprenticeship to reflect what you already know. Skills Communication skills IT skills Attention to detail Organisation skills Customer care skills Problem solving skills Number skills Analytical skills Logical Team working Other GCSE or equivalent of Maths and English is required at Grade 9-4 / A*-C You MUST be prepared to commit to your work and training for the duration of the apprenticeship. In some cases, you may be required to have a telephone interview with Yeovil College prior to your application being passed on.
