Job Description

Headway Suffolk is a registered charity in England that offers advice, support, rehabilitation and support services to anyone who has, during their lifetime, sustained a brain injury through traumatic accident, stroke, virus, tumour, neurological condition or other similar event. They are looking for an apprentice Brain Injury Support Worker.

Training and Qualification

Work As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff. What you'll do at work The learner will be studying the Adult Care Worker Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard qualification. Level 2 Diploma in Care. Functional Skills in maths and English will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held. Training schedule has yet to be agreed. Details will be made available at a later date. Required Skills & Qualification

Desirable qualifications GCSE or equivalent in: Maths and English (grade 4-9) Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have. They can adjust the apprenticeship to reflect what you already know. Skills Communication skills IT skills Attention to detail Organisation skills Customer care skills Team working Initiative Other Must be able to communicate with clients some of whom will not have speech or other communication skills, be able to write emails, clients' records, be able to communicate to team members, be able to work as part of a team, and must be able to plan group and one to one activities which the needs of the clients as described in the care plan.
