Job Description

Excellent opportunity working for an established label printing company based in Netherton, West Midlands. You will be working in a small team within our rapidly growing digital department producing a wide range of labels including asset labels, security labels, warehouse labels, barcode labels, cable labels.

Training and Qualification

Work As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff. What you'll do at work Full training will be provided in-house alongside a Level 3 Print Technician qualification delivered by BPIF Training. The apprentice will be given sufficient time to undertake their "off-the-job" requirement of the apprenticeship during their working hours. Throughout your time as an apprentice, you will be supported by both your employer and BPIF Training to achieve the knowledge, skills and behaviours of the apprenticeship through a structured training plan. You will be assigned a training coordinator who will work with you throughout your apprenticeship to ensure that you have the best training and support available. Most training and studying will be a combination of regular site-based visits at the employer's premises and occasional remote delivery. Essential qualifications GCSE or equivalent in: Maths (grade 4) English (grade 4) Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have. Skills Administrative skills Analytical skills Attention to detail Communication skills Initiative IT skills Logical Number skills Organisation skills Patience Presentation skills Problem solving skills Team working Other This role will involve running multiple printers simultaneously which will suit a person who has particularly good multi-tasking skills. The department has a high volume of short run jobs and requires an individual who can strictly work to a set plan and keep on track. A high number of printed jobs include printing variable data/barcodes. The ideal candidate must have very good attention to detail and have a high level of numeracy skills. Opportunities to attend trade shows specifically related to digital printing to keep up to date with current technology.

We currently have 11 production staff, 1 store man and 9 office staff.
