Job Description

Apprentice gardener required for a ground's maintenance business, based south of Reading. The tasks you will be involved with include grass cutting, high quality hedge cutting and pruning, leaf collection, tree pruning, planting, landscaping.

Training and Qualification

Work As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff. What you'll do at work Level 2 Landscape Operative Apprenticeship Standard Level 2 Functional Skills in English and maths if required One day a week at the BCA campus for practical hands-on and theory-based activities An assessor will visit you at workplace every 8-10 weeks. Level 3 First Aid at Work Where you'll work 155 READING ROAD WOKINGHAM RG41 1LJ

Required Skills & Qualification

Desirable qualifications GCSE or equivalent in: English (grade C / 4 or above) Maths (grade C / 4 or above) Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have. They can adjust the apprenticeship to reflect what you already know. Skills Communication skills Customer care skills Logical Team working Initiative Other You will be working outside in all weathers (waterproof clothing provided). You need to be of a polite nature as you will communicate with customers. Possible early starts and time keeping is essential.
