Work As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff. What you'll do at work Work towards L3 Engineering Technician qualification. Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence) Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) €“ Mechatronics Maintenance Technician Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge) The apprenticeship will run over 42 months and the successful candidate will spend time between Wigan and Leigh College, Pagefield Campus (one day a week) and the site, gaining in-depth knowledge into engineering matters and the site machines and processes. Essential qualifications GCSE or equivalent in: English (grade 4-9 ( Grade C or above )) Maths (grade Grade 4-9 ( Grade C or above )) Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have. Skills Communication skills IT skills Attention to detail Organisation skills Problem solving skills Presentation skills Number skills Analytical skills Logical Team working Creative Initiative Non judgemental Patience Other Five GCSEs at grade 4 or grade C including math's and English The job is physically demanding and will require some fitness.
