Job Description

As an engineering operative your duties will include making perspex display cases, setting up and machining parts on overhead router, line bending to create shapes, various glueing techniques and drilling and polishing.

Training and Qualification

Work As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff. What you'll do at work Engineering operative Level 2 (GCSE): Engineering operatives working within a fabrication role will have: Knowledge of: Specific marking out and preparation techniques Different fabrication and joining techniques Specific safe working practices, isolation procedures and safe reinstating of equipment / system that need to be observed Skills: Shape the materials using the appropriate methods and techniques Join the materials using the appropriate methods and techniques Produce components which meet the specification requirements Carry out quality checks during and after the fabrication activities Training schedule has yet to be agreed.
