Do you have an interest in the automotive Industry? Joining as an apprentice could be perfect for you, we are looking for the next generation technicians to repair & replace vehicle glass, learning new technology such as sensors for automatic braking etc. We will train you to level 3 technician & start your career with a forward thinking business.

Training and Qualification

Work As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff. What you'll do at work The majority of your time would be spent working with a mentor in your fixed base location and monthly visits from an assessor When you first join the company, you will visit our head office for your initial induction and training, you will also receive your company uniform while on your visit There will be set training days away with the technical training team at head office throughout your apprenticeship and at the end of the programme you will be trained to a Level 3 Glazing Technician Apprentices without Level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the endpoint assessment Where you'll work Auto Windscreens, Unit 7 Lincolns Park Business Centre Lincoln Road High Wycombe HP12 3RD

Required Skills & Qualification

Essential qualifications GCSE or equivalent in: English (grade 4 or above) Maths (grade 4 or above) Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have. They can adjust the apprenticeship to reflect what you already know. Skills Communication skills Attention to detail Organisation skills Customer care skills Problem solving skills Team working Creative Patience Physical fitness Other The role will involve an element of heavy lifting as there will be glass to move to and from the vehicles. At the end of the course you will need to have passed your UK Driving test if you have not already done so at the start of your apprenticeship, the role will then become field based and would involve outdoor working.
