Job Description

We are pleased to confirm our new apprentice intake for 2024 and we're looking for the following CNC Machinist Apprentices. 2 x CNC Grinding 1 x CNC Milling 1 x CNC Lathes Your primary role will be to set, operate and program a variety of high precision machines in your area to company quality standards.

Training and Qualification

Work As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff. What you'll do at work An apprenticeship allows you to earn a wage, gain valuable work experience and industry specific competence. You will be expected to work towards the Machining Technician L3, with support from your employer and the Chesterfield College Group. Delivery method and location to be confirmed. EAL L3 Extended diploma in Machining (Development Knowledge) Pearson BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Machining) (Development Technical Knowledge) City and Guilds Machining technician (1273) As part of your apprenticeship, and dependent on your prior attainment, you may be required to complete maths and English Functional Skills which is an integral part of your apprenticeship. Essential qualifications GCSE or equivalent in: English (grade 5 / C) Maths (grade 5 / C) Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have.
