Job Description

Assist in the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes according to recipes and standards set by the head chef. Learn and master fundamental culinary techniques, including knife skills, food safety, and kitchen hygiene practices. Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to sanitation and food safety guidelines at all times. Support the kitchen team in various tasks, such as ingredient preparation, stock rotation, and equipment maintenance. Demonstrate a willingness to learn and take on new challenges, showing dedication and enthusiasm for the culinary arts. The training you will be getting Apprentices will gain the Commis Chef standard qualification through Award winning provider University College Birmingham. Functional Skills will be provided if required. All training will be delivered on site by mobile lecturers from the University. The training will be a day release model. What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship It is an expectation that upon completion of this qualification the apprentice will look at gaining a level 3 Chef De Partie qualification with us.
