This is an exciting opportunity to join an established company. Colchester Fuel Injection are looking to take on an Engineering and Fuel Injection Technician Apprentice. The successful applicant will be performing a range of activities, including testing and repairing diesel fuel injection components from Automotive to Locomotive machines.
Work As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff. What you'll do at work The Apprentice will be working towards the Level 3 Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard (Technical Support Technician Pathway) Qualifications include Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence) Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence), and Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge) The Apprentice will be working towards a Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) - Technical Support Technician Pathway College attendance will be at Colchester Institute Campus and online Where you'll work HAVEN RD COLCHESTER ESSEX CO2 8HT
Essential qualifications GCSE or equivalent in: 5 GCSE's including Maths and English (grade A*-C/9-4) Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have. They can adjust the apprenticeship to reflect what you already know. Skills Communication skills IT skills Attention to detail Organisation skills Problem solving skills Number skills Logical Team working Initiative Other The role is mostly online training but some training requires travel. There's heavy lifting involved, although manual handling training and lifting equipment is provided. The role will also involve standing/being on your feet for sustained periods.

Twelve months later Colchester Fuel Injection was formed. Our primary services are testing, repair and overhaul of all types of diesel fuel injection systems. The company is long established in the Rail, Marine, Power Generation, Off Highway Machinery and Commercial Vehicle, Light Goods Vehicle and Passenger car sectors. We have a full Parts Department, Sales Team and Vehicle Workshop. The Vehicle Workshop is dedicated to diagnosing and repairing diesel, petrol and hybrid vehicles.
