Job Description

Day to day tasks include: Work to a variety of procedures covering TIG, MAG, FCAW etc Fabrication of parts in the following metals: stainless, duplex, carbon, nickel chrome, aluminium and monel Work with a wide range of thicknesses of plates and sections Working with electric or manual hand tools as required to support the job Interpret and work to MITP™s Route cards, Drawings, Weld Maps and WPS requirements Follow weld maps and record consumables onto weld history sheets The training you will be getting This is a level 3 Engineering Technician apprenticeship - Technical Support pathway, delivered over a period of 3 years The apprentice will be required to attend the training centre, In-Comm Training Services in Aldridge, Walsall, WS9 8UG, on a full time basis for the first 12 months as part of the training. Please ensure you are able to travel to this site as well as the company site. What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there will be opportunity to have a full time position.
