Job Description

Our education programme will give you skills required to become a successful hairdresser. For us, education is about reaching your personal best and with low student to teacher ratios, you will reap instant rewards from your new skills. You will learn to provide hair styling services including cutting, blow-drying and colouring.

Training and Qualification

Work As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff. What you'll do at work Working to qualify for your Hairdressing Professional Level 2 Diploma Functional skills in maths and English, if required Most of the training will be in one of our 17 salons with 1 day per week at our HOB Academy in Camden Where you'll work 16 Th e Broadway Mill Hill NW7 3LL

Required Skills & Qualification

Desirable qualifications GCSE or equivalent in: English, Maths Functional skills (grade 4 or above, Level 1) Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have. They can adjust the apprenticeship to reflect what you already know. Skills Communication skills Attention to detail Organisation skills Customer care skills Presentation skills Team working Initiative Non judgemental Patience Other Hairdressing is hard work and long hours.The role involves weekend working, at least one late night and one model night. Model night will take place in Salon after work with a trained staff member. HOB Salons expect high standards. You may need to further develop your maths and English skills depending on your GCSE or equivalent results.
