Are you passionate about working outdoors and maintaining beautiful spaces? Do you want to start a career in grounds keeping and landscaping? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Grounds Maintenance Apprentice to join our team.

Training and Qualification

Work As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff. What you'll do at work Full Horticulture apprenticeship level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English, if required Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (Ofqual registered) minimum 1-day course Lantra Awards Level 2 Award in Safe Use of Pesticides OR City and Guilds Level 2 Principles of Safe Handling and Application of Pesticides Lantra Awards Level 2 Award in the Safe Application of Pesticide Using Hand Held Equipment OR City and Guilds Level 2 Award In The Safe Application of Pesticides Using Pedestrian Hand Held Equipment Where you'll work James Bird Landscapes Ltd, 1-5 Buttermere Road Sheffield S7 2AX

Required Skills & Qualification

Desirable qualifications GCSE or equivalent in: Maths and English (grade 3) Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have. They can adjust the apprenticeship to reflect what you already know. Skills Communication skills Attention to detail Customer care skills Team working Physical fitness Other You must be able to get to the depot. Be prepared to work outside in all weathers. Working hours will be shifts within the standard working hours dependent on weather and the season with an average of 40 hours a week throughout the year.
