This is an opportunity to play a key role in Worcestershire County Council's Traffic Control Systems team and learn what it takes to design, install and maintain traffic signals and on highway monitoring equipment.
Work As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff. What you'll do at work Level 4 Electrical Power Networks Engineer Standard including BTEC HNC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. You will have a day release to study at Dudley College of Technology for BTEC Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering. You will need to have achieved the entry requirements to the BTEC Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering by September 2024. Apprentices must achieve level 2 English prior to taking the end-point assessment for the apprenticeship if they haven't achieved them on entry. Essential qualifications A Level or equivalent in: €˜A' level in Maths plus AS level in Physics (grade Pass) BTEC National Certificate in Engineering OR (grade (Grade MM or better)) BTEC National Diploma in Engineering OR (grade Grade MMP or Better) ACCESS to HE in Engineering (grade Pass) City & Guilds 236 part €˜C' (grade Pass) Level 1 qualification in Essential Digital Skills (grade Pass) Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have.
