Day-to-day tasks include: Setting and programming of work on 3 Axis and 5 Axis CNC machines Developing 3 and 5 axis programmes 2D and 3D CAD design Basic fitting techniques Grinding, benchwork and associated techniques Checking and inspection of work Understanding both in house and customer supplied engineering drawings The training you will be getting This is a 3 year Level 3 Machinist Apprenticeship, with the first 9 months being full time at the training provider, In-Comm Training Services in Aldridge, WS9 8UG.Level 3 Extended diploma in Machining (Development Knowledge)Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Machining) (Development Technical Knowledge)Please ensure you are able to travel to this address as well as to the company address.
