Job Description

As a Mechanical fitter apprentice, the candidate's role would be to build new or refurbish heavy duty mechanical equipment such as gearboxes, crushers, rollers, etc. whilst reporting directly to the Fitting shop foreman and Manager.

Training and Qualification

Work As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff. What you'll do at work You will study on a Level 3 Engineering Fitter standard. On completion of this, you will gain a qualification in Engineering at Advanced Level 3. During the first year of the apprenticeship, your learning will take place at the University of Sheffield's AMRC Training Centre based at Catcliffe, Rotherham, for an initial block of study on a full-time basis. After this, you will attend the Training Centre for one day a week for knowledge study. Where you'll work UNIT 35 WADDINGTON WAY ROTHERHAM S65 3SH
