Job Description

The apprentice will be working within a small team doing day to day tasks to manufacture products to specifications using techniques such as CNC and conventional machining, bench fitting, fabrication and inspection processes. The successful applicants will be expected to adhere to Health and Safety regulations at all times.

Training and Qualification

Work As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff. What you'll do at work The apprentice will be working towards the Level 3 Machining Technician Apprenticeship Standard Qualifications include: EAL Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering (Development Competence), EAL Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence) and EAL Level 3 Diploma in Machining (Development Knowledge) This is a 4 year apprenticeship with college attendance required once per week. The first year is at Braintree campus and years 2 to 4 are at Colchester campus Functional Skills in maths and English (if required) Where you'll work 1 Ashton Road Romford Essex RM3 8UH

Required Skills & Qualification

Essential qualifications GCSE or equivalent in: Maths and English (grade A*-C/9-4) Desirable qualifications GCSE or equivalent in: 5 GCSE's, including Maths, English and Science (grade A*-C/9-4) Mechanical Engineering (grade Pass) Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have.
