Job Description

The Apprentice will receive classroom and vocational training, so in time, will be able to operate as a Process Technician on sites receiving and treating industrial waste. In time, they'll be able to check consignments of waste, unload and load vehicles with waste products, determine how waste may be processed and operate the processing equipment.

Training and Qualification

Work As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff. What you'll do at work 2-day release in year 1 at the CATCH facility at The Textile Centre for Excellence @ Huddesfield You will undertake the Science Manufacturing Technician Level 3 Standard Apprenticeship which includes: City & Guilds Level 3 0610 qualification, and you will be required to undertake an end-point assessment Functional Skills in maths and English, if required In addition to this, you will also complete the City & Guilds Level 2 0610 qualification and an NVQ Level 3 in process technologies Successful achievement of the end-point assessment will lead to a final certificate of the Apprenticeship Where you'll work Knostrop Treatment Works Knowsthorpe Lane Leeds Yorkshire LS9 0PJ

Essential qualifications GCSE or equivalent in: Maths, English & Science (grade C/4) Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have.
