Job Description

Your apprenticeship will involve you supporting the following duties and responsibilities: Minor repairs Decorating Basic plumbing skills Basic electrical knowledge General carpentry skills Laying paving slabs Assist in delivering parcels Assist in event setups Advising Estate Manager of faults with the buildings Undertaking appropriate health and safety training Ensuring compliance with the health and safety policy and procedures Helping to ensure compliance with planned preventative maintenance program by ensuring allocated tasks are completed on time and to the necessary standard The training you will be getting Duration - 15 months practical training period, plus 3 months for End Point Assessment. Delivery model ¢ Work-based training with your employer ¢ Nine weeks of block release throughout the year, plus induction/revision days¢ On-site assessment visits every other month throughout the apprenticeship ¢ Level 1 Functional Skills in Maths and English (7 days at college for each, if required) ¢ Off the job training will count for at least 6 hours a week of an apprentice™s time at work Qualifications included: ¢ Level 1 Functional Skills in English and Maths ¢ Level 2 Property Maintenance Operative Apprenticeship End Point Assessment: ¢ Multiple choice knowledge test ¢ Practical assessment ¢ Professional discussion based on a portfolio of evidence and short research assignment What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship Succesful apprentices may be offered a permanent position with St Hugh's offering a fuffilled career and potential for future development.
