We are looking to recruit Engineering Apprentices for the 2024/25 academic year. If you are seeking a career change or are leaving school or college with good GCSE grades and would like to pursue a career in Engineering, this could be a good option for you. The apprenticeship will be for 4 years and will include one day per week at College studying towards your qualifications.
Work As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff. What you'll do at work During your 1st and 2nd years you will be studying towards the Metal Fabrication Standard AB242. Delivery method and location of training to be confirmed, but expected one day per week at College studying towards your qualifications. Qualifications earned could be any of the following; 1) Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge) €“ Awarding organisation EAL; GLH 750, or 2) Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Technical Knowledge) €“ Awarding organisation Pearson; GLH 720 or 3) Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge) Awarding organisation City & Guilds; GLH 720. Essential qualifications GCSE or equivalent in: English (grade 5) Mathematics (grade 5) Science (grade 5) Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have.
