Job Description

Edmund Bell is a supplier of curtain linings, flame-retardant fabrics, and upholstery textiles for various industries including Hospitality, Cruise, Education, Public, and Healthcare markets. The company is seeking an enthusiastic individual to work in our manufacturing plant creating a range of textile products.

Training and Qualification

Work As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff. What you'll do at work The apprentice will be registered onto the IfATE approved Textile Manufacturing Operative apprenticeship scheme Level 2, delivered by our partners, the Textile Centre of Excellence. The programme will last for 15 months, where the successful candidate will be given the knowledge, skill and behaviours needed to suceed in our workplace. Training will be a day release at our training provider's office in Huddersfield at least one day per month, with additional visits from the provider on-site to work through a training programme and learning plan. Desirable qualifications GCSE or equivalent in: English (grade 4/C) Maths (grade 4/C) Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have. They can adjust the apprenticeship to reflect what you already know. Skills Communication skills Attention to detail Organisation skills Number skills Team working Initiative Physical fitness Other The role involves working in a production environment, where timekeeping, attention to detail, effective teamworking and resilience are key skills of the role. An ability to work in a physically demanding role is essential.
