In a groundbreaking initiative aimed at supporting Indian students' dreams of studying in the United Kingdom, the Educational Testing Service (ETS) TOEFL has joined forces with the National Indian Students and Alumni Union (NISAU) to launch the 'UK-India TOEFL Scholarship'. This scholarship programme will provide financial assistance to 10 deserving Indian students, with each recipient awarded a scholarship worth Rs 2.5 lakh.

The scholarship is designed to help Indian students pursuing full-time undergraduate or postgraduate programmes in the UK during the fall 2024 or spring 2025 academic sessions. The financial support covers a wide range of expenses, including tuition, books, transportation, and other related costs. It makes it a significant opportunity for students to realise their aspirations of studying in the UK.

To be eligible for the UK-India TOEFL Scholarship, applicants must meet specific criteria. Firstly, they must have a minimum TOEFL® test score of 75 out of 120, demonstrating their proficiency in the English language. Secondly, they must have received an admission offer letter from a UK university for either the fall 2024 or spring 2025 academic session.

The selection process for the scholarship will be conducted by a panel comprising representatives from both NISAU and UK universities. This diverse selection committee will carefully review the applications and shortlist the most deserving candidates based on their academic merit, extracurricular achievements, and their potential to contribute to the academic and cultural landscape of the UK.

The successful recipients of the UK-India TOEFL Scholarship will not only receive financial support but will also have the opportunity to serve as TOEFL ambassadors during their studies.
