The decision to postpone the examination and reopen applications stems from the government's announcement that recruitment to the Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS) will now be conducted through the ESE for specific sub-cadres. These include Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Signal & Telecommunication, and Stores sub-cadres.
