Malaysia: 2024 Curriculum Unaffected by Academic Session Restructuring to Pre-Covid Period

The Malaysian Education Ministry's efforts to restructure the academic session back to the pre-Covid-19 period by 2026 will not affect this year's curriculum, with the number of school days remaining at 190, stated the Education Director-General during his visit to welcome students back to school in Johor.


UK Bans Overseas Care Workers from Bringing Dependants on Work Visas

The UK government has implemented a major change in its immigration policy, prohibiting international health and care workers from bringing their dependents into the country on work visas. This decision, effective this week, aims to address the influx of 120,000 dependants who accompanied 100,000 workers on the care visa route last year. Additionally, the minimum income requirement for these workers has been raised to £38,700.
