Who it is for

According to the latest notification, there is no age limitfor appearing in the CUET (UG) – 2023. Candidates only need to have passed class 12 or an equivalent examination to appear for the exam. Likewise, those appearing in 2023 class 12 can also sit for it. However, they will have to fulfill the age criteria of the chosen university if they have it.

For postgraduate courses, candidates must have graduated from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks. SC, ST, OBC, and PwD candidates get a 5% relaxation for graduation marks. Additionally, the participating universities can decide their own eligibility criteria for admissions.

CUET, earliest called Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET), opens admission to Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Integrated, Certification courses, Diplomas, and Research Programmes in participating universities.

Exam Pattern

CUET 2023 will be conducted online through a computer-based test in 13 languages. These include Assamese, Bengali, English, Hindi, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. The test will be conducted in three slots with four sections each. Here are the details-

• Section 1A (language test- 13 languages) with reading comprehension- 50 questions (40 to be attempted) within 45 minutes
• Section 1B (optional language test- 20 languages) with reading comprehension- 50 questions (40 to be attempted) within 45 minutes

• Section 2 (domain-specific test- 27 subjects) with MCQ-based questions- 40 questions (35 to be attempted) within 45 minutes
• Section 3 (general test) with MCQs on General Knowledge, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Current Affairs, Quantitative Reasoning, and Logical and Analytical Reasoning- 60 questions (50 to be attempted) within 60 minutes

In the marking scheme, candidates get 5 marks for each correct answer and lose1 mark for every wrong answer.

CUET 2023 Test Dates

Dates for the display of answer keys and results are to be announced later. Application dates for CUET PG 2023 Application Process are from 20 Mar 2023- 19 Apr 2023. Exam dates are 1 Jun 2023-10 Jun 2023. 

International Students

International students are not eligible to apply for CUET 2023. However, they can apply in the NRI category if they are eligible according to individual universities or institutes.

Candidates can register for the exam by filling out the form, providing the essential details, and uploading the required documents. The next step is the payment of the exam fee online via net banking/credit card/debit card/UPI. The application fee is non-refundable.
