The Common University Entrance Test 2023 marks a major change for Indian students as they will have to clear the exam to get admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Central Universities. The objective is to ensure that all students across the country get a common platform and equal opportunities, regardless of their location.
The exam will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) and include 200+ universities (with 46 central universities) from around the country. According to the latest notification, there is no age limitfor appearing in the CUET (UG) – 2023. Candidates only need to have passed class 12 or an equivalent examination to appear for the exam. Likewise, those appearing in 2023 class 12 can also sit for it. However, they will have to fulfill the age criteria of the chosen university if they have it.
For postgraduate courses, candidates must have graduated from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks. SC, ST, OBC, and PwD candidates get a 5% relaxation for graduation marks. Additionally, the participating universities can decide their own eligibility criteria for admissions.
CUET, earliest called Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET), opens admission to Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Integrated, Certification courses, Diplomas, and Research Programmes in participating universities.
CUET 2023 will be conducted online through a computer-based test in 13 languages. These include Assamese, Bengali, English, Hindi, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. The test will be conducted in three slots with four sections each. Here are the details-

International students are not eligible to apply for CUET 2023. However, they can apply in the NRI category if they are eligible according to individual universities or institutes.
Students may have studied in any stream to appear for the CUET 2023, so there are no restrictions in this context.
