The Graduate Medical School Admissions Test (GAMSAT) is a selection test for the candidates applying to study medicine and related niches such as dentistry, pharmacy, optometry, and veterinary science. The test is applicable for British, Irish, and Australian universities. It was formerly the Graduate Australian Medical School Admissions Test for Australian institutions but now applies to medical schools across the UK. GAMSAT is conducted twice a year, in the months of March and September. Candidates sitting in the March exam gave a limited choice in UK test centres in London, Bristol, Derry, Leeds, and Liverpool. Registrations open in November and close sometime in late January. More choices are available in the UK test centres in the September sitting. The test is competitive, so you need to prepare for the exam to get good scores. The best way to do it is by solving practice papers.
Since the GAMSAT exam is conducted by ACER, candidates must register themselves on the ACER website.
It is not the same as the medical school applications to be made through UCAS before October 15.
You can select a test centre location according to your convenience, but getting it depends on the availability of slots.
