ABOUT Indian Institute of Technology Ropar

The Indian Institute of Technology Ropar started functioning from the academic year 2008-09 from the campus of IIT Delhi, the mentor institute. The foundation stone laying ceremony was held on 24 February 2009.The Institute is facilitating transmission of knowledge in keeping with the latest developments in pedagogy. At present, the Institute offers the degree of Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, Mathematics & Computing and Engineering Physics. It offers the MSc degree in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. It offers the degree of Master of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Biomedical Engineering. All the departments of the Institute offer a doctoral degree.
