Institute of Dental Sciences has been set up in 2005 on the recommendation of Dental Council of India. Health and Family Welfare Department, Govt. of India permitted admission to BDS Course from the academic session 2006-07 and MDS Course from 2013-14. The institute now is surging ahead with its first batch into the Internship Program with requisite recognition from Dental Council of India. A regular feature of the institute is Continuing Dental Education program with multidisciplinary subjects like “Symposium on Pain and Facial Aesthetics.” Also live surgical demonstrations of Oral cancer, Orthognathic surgery and oral Implantology with live interaction with National and International faculty. IDS earns the distinction to be the first private dental college in Odisha to have received the permission for Post-Graduate studies in Dentistry in seven subjects from the academic year 2013-14.
