ABOUT Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences Porompet Imphal

Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences, Porompat, Imphal- East (JNIMS) was started as a project of the Government of Manipur to facilitate increase patient care services and to increase the number of Doctors for better health care facility. The Institute was permitted to admit 100 MBBS students from academic session 2010- 11 vide letter MCI. No. 3(41)/2010-Med/907 dated 17.7.2010. Again, it was recognized as a full-fledged Medical College vide Notification No. U.12012/1224/2015-ME(P.II) issued by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India dated 17? April 2015. Further, the Government of India has granted Letter of Permission (LOP) to start Post- Graduate courses in the following 14 different subjects.
