About Exploring Terminal Services in Windows Server 2008

Introduction This 2-hour online clinic provides IT Professionals experienced in Windows 2000 Server or Windows Server 2003 with the knowledge and skills to implement and manage Terminal Services in Windows Server 2008. Topics covered in the clinic include: Implementation of Terminal Services Working with Terminal Services RemoteApp, Terminal Services Web Access, Terminal Services Gateway, Terminal Services Session Broker, and Terminal Services Licensing Student Prerequisites Experience in planning, implementing, and supporting Windows Server-based networks, operating systems, and platform infrastructure. This may include experience in Windows 2000 Server, Windows Server 2003, and Windows Server 2008. Knowledge of server virtualization and Hyper-V. This clinic has the same content as the previous version in an updated viewer with a new look and feel. Objectives At the end of the course, students will be able to: Describe how to implement Terminal Services to securely access remote programs and resources. Work with Terminal Services RemoteApp to access standard programs on a remote computer running Windows Server 2008. Work with Terminal Services Web Access to launch Terminal Services RemoteApp applications from a browser. Work with Terminal Services Gateway to access Terminal Servers and remote desktops over the Internet. Work with Terminal Services Session Broker to balance the load in sessions between Terminal Servers. Work with Terminal Services Licensing to manage Terminal Services client access licenses (TS CALs).
