About Learning and practice: Agency and identities

This unit introduces you to a sociocultural approach to understanding and analysing learning in educational institutions, the home and the workplace. By the end of this unit, you should have: learned more about a view of learning as a social, not an individual, phenomenon developed some conceptual tools for analysing learning improved your understanding of what supports learning and what creates barriers to learning and its assessment considered some of the implications of this view for supporting learning in educational institutions and in the workplace.
