After this presentation, you should be able to make a decision about when, and how to use these options to optimize your design for best timing performance. With the Quartus II v. 9.0 software, several improvements are available with respect to physical synthesis optimizations. These optimizations can address some timing closure issues and help you close timing on designs where it is hard to close timing using default settings. This training will also explain when it would be good to use physical synthesis optimizations and when it may not be.
